Welcome to Food Secure Saskatchewan's web site! We invite you to join us in our efforts to ensure that all Saskatchewan citizens have safe, nourishing and affordable foods. Many things are already happening in our communities:
- community gardens
- collective / community kitchens
- sharing of gardens with neighbours
- family gardening
- the creation of food directories such as LoFo,
the Organic Farm Directory,and many regional directories
- slow food dinners
- school gardens
- cooking classes
- the development of organizations devoted to health and well being in our communities
- and the growing interest among citizens in local foods
Much more can and should be done! Join with us and enjoy the process of re-developing our connections to land and the place we call home.
